Every day, thousands of hardworking hospital staff are putting their lives at risk to help save our community and stop the spread of this highly contagious virus. Over the past couple of weeks, we had the opportunity to partner with Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital Foundation to put on two events to feed the diligent staff at Zuckerberg San Francisco General as a way to thank them.

Through the ZSFG COVID-19 Fund, Off the Grid served lunch and dinner to over 6,200 frontline workers in two parking lots at ZSFG over the course of two days. Each staff member was able to self select from one of the four food truck options at each location, featuring a wide variety of cuisine types from Mexican to Poké. Since its inception of the COVID-19 Fund, the Foundation has raised more than $4.5 million.

Through our partnership with the Foundation, we were also able to support 22 of our third-party local small businesses that are suffering through the challenges that shelter-in-place has had on the mobile food industry. The line-up for day one included delicious meals from Senor Sisig, Little Green Cyclo, Taqueria Angelica’s, Bonito Poke, Cielito Lindo, Bombzies BBQ, Hula Truck, Curry Up Now, 3-3-3 Truck, and Waffle Roost. Day two included flavorful dishes from Al Pastor Papi, Curveball Sliders, Korean Bob Cha, Bonito Poke, Da Poke Man, La Santa Torta, Me So Hungry, 3-3-3, Capelo’s BBQ, DUM Indian Soul Food, Llamas Peruvian and WoKitchen.

Thank you to the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital Foundation for partnering with us to feed your dedicated team.
