There’s no better place to be a hungry food lover than the Bay Area. Whether you’re attending a festival, market, or concert, you’re sure to find unique Instagram-worthy bites. There’s a lot of reasons you’ll want to attend one of these events, but let’s be honest, it’s really all about the food. Here are some exciting upcoming events that you’re going to want to visit on an empty stomach. We keep the party going every week with our food truck lineups from San Francisco to Oakland to San Jose. Check out our markets here.

626 Night Market

📍 Alameda County Fairground (Pleasanton) | 📅 July 26-28

The 626 Night Market is holding its final Bay Area event on July 26-28 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds with over 80 unique food vendors. The 626 night market began in 2012 in San Gabriel Valley inspired by the open-air nighttime bazaars of Asia. You can buy a single-day ticket ($6) or a three-day pass ($10). If you frequent our Off the Grid events you’ll see a lot of familiar faces like 3 Brothers Kitchen, Cousins Maine Lobster, and Grillzillas. Check out the event directory for the full vendor lineup. There will also be over 20 musical performances and a silent disco.

Outside Lands

📍 Golden Gate Park | 📅 August 9-11

This year, Outside Lands is bringing top-class acts like The Killers, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Kevin Abstract, and more. Single day tickets start at $226. You’re sure to work up an appetite while dancing. Thankfully, the food lineup is as exciting as the acts themselves. El Garage is bringing it’s famous quesabirria tacos and tres leches custard. Another can’t miss item is Wah Jee Wah’s masala mac & cheese which the SF Chronicle named one of the best in the bay. Even Michelin-recognized restaurants like Jo’s Modern Thai will be serving their brisket drunken noodles and pork laab burger. We’re also proud to say that you’ll spot some Off the Grid regulars like Marley’s Treats, Mozzeria, and Señor Sisig.

Foodieland

📍Santa Clara County Fairgrounds (San Jose) | 📅 August 16-18

Foodieland is returning to San Jose’s Fairgrounds with over 100 food vendors. Don’t miss out on Big Baby Bottle, drinks served in a comically large baby bottle, and fish-shaped taiyaki filled with soft serve. Check out the full lineup here. Tickets must be purchased online prior to arriving at the event ($8 each). On Friday, the event takes place from 3PM – 10PM. On Saturday and Sunday, it’s from 1PM to 10PM.

Everybody Eats Festival

📍 Radium Runway (Alameda) | 📅 August 31st

The 3rd annual Everybody Eats Festival takes place at Radium Runway in Alameda. Tickets are only $12.51 and they provide entrance to the event filled with food, live music, and local vendors. The lineup features some of our favorite Filipino food like Señor Sisig and The Lumpia Company in addition to World Famous Hotboys, Al Pastor Papi, and Vatos Tacos.

Portola Festival

📍 Pier 80 | 📅 September 28-29

This 2-day music festival arrives with  a stacked lineup including acts like Anderson Paak, Jpegmafia, Disclosure and M.I.A. Passes are already sold out, but if you were lucky enough to snag a ticket, we’ve got you covered on food recommendations. A 20 minute walk (or four minute drive) from the venue there’s a selection of restaurants to eat before the show. Bandit is a brunch restaurant specializing in breakfast sandwiches. Neighbor Bakehouse is a great spot for a late meal of unique baked goods like croissants filled with spicy chicken sausage, char siu, matcha, or ube. If you’re in the mood for Italian, stop by Marcella’s Lasagneria and try their bolognese or mushroom lasagna.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

📍 Golden Gate Park | 📅 October 4-6

The schedule hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s set to feature 4,500 minutes of music. It takes place at Golden Gate Park, so that means there’s an incredible selection of eateries nearby. One of our favorites is Um.ma, a Korean restaurant with an exceptional menu featuring bone marrow corn cheese, Korean fried chicken, and gochujang-glazed potatoes. They get busy so make sure to make a reservation. Nearby is one of our favorite places to slurp noodles in the Bay Area, Terra Cotta Warrior, where their hand-pulled noodles are tossed in the aromatic flavors of Xi’an. For a bite of fish, cast a line at Hook Fish Co for tacos loaded with your choice of grilled fish, poke, or any choice of fish from their market.
