In honor of the last week of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, our community of food truck owners who identify as Asian American and Native Hawaiian Pacific Islanders (AAPI) are banding together to raise funds for the community.Â
While we’ve seen some progress since last year—with new legislation and awareness campaigns kicking off across the county—hate crimes against the AAPI community are still happening in the Bay Area.Â
Last year, we raised $5,000 to benefit the Asia Pacific Fund. This year, we’re raising funds for the Cut Fruit Collective, which supports the AAPI community through art, publishing and a shared love of food.
All week, these 7 trucks are partnering with Off the Grid to donate 10% of their proceeds to Cut Fruit Collective. Off the Grid will match the amount donated.Â
From May 23rd-May 30th, you can skip doing the dishes and eat out while supporting a great cause.Â
Here’s Where to Eat This Week to Support the AAPI Community
