All Off the Grid events are family-friendly! They’re the perfect place for parents and children to have a great evening. Kids are free to run around and enjoy fun activities in a safe space while parents can grab a bite and a drink. There are a lot of factors to consider when planning a day out with the family. At Off the Grid, we create a welcome, exciting dining experience that has options for everyone without breaking the bank. Our events aren’t just a great place to get dinner, they’re also an opportunity for families to make memories together. Whether you’re enjoying live music on the lawn at OTG Pleasant hill or playing frisbee by the lake at OTG Foster City, we know there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

Family-Friendly Space

Most Off the Grid events are hosted near large green spaces that are perfect for families with children. You don’t need to stress about food spills and there’s plenty of space for kids to run around. Our free events are also a great place to link up with other families. You can even grab a drink. In late April and May, we have soccer and softball activities coming to the lawn. We’re also showcasing adoptable animals from the Peninsula Humane Society and hosting readings by the Foster City library.

Activities

Each week, we host community partners with hands-on activities for children of all ages. There are sports, lawn games, trivia, pet adoptions, arts and crafts, and more. Our events also feature live music and performances throughout the night. At Friday Nights at OMCA, there’s also DJs, late access to museum exhibits, and special showcases. Food Options

There are a lot of food options that don’t break the bank. Many plates are also shareable, so it’s fun to sample food from several different creators together. There are both familiar favorites, like pizza and tacos, as well as cuisines rare in the Bay Area. That means there’s something for both young picky eaters and people looking to try something new. Every event, has kid-friendly meals like the fried chicken from Respectable Bird or the loaded fries from Señor Sisig.
