Food trucks and street vendors serve some of the most innovative dishes in the Bay. It can be hard to keep track of all the great spots across the Bay since they pop-up quickly and move around. We’ve compiled this list to share our favorite mobile food from Napa to San Jose. We’ll keep this list updated with new and exciting food.

Leo’s Tacos Food Truck is an LA taco truck that just expanded to the Great Highway. They’re best known for their al pastor tacos. The business is owned by four brothers from Oaxaca. If their food truck is successful in SF, they hope to expand through Northern California.

Grégoire is a French restaurant in Berkeley run by French-trained Chef Grégoire Jacquet. The restaurant opened in 2002, but they recently expanded to a food truck. The food truck is equipped to serve the full Grégoire menu which is all about fresh, clean flavors. The menu changes with the season.

Smackburger is an LA smashburger spot that expanded to the Bay Area this year. They started with a food truck in San Leandro and San Jose. They also just opened a brick-and-mortar in San Leandro. Their fries and onion rings are fried in beef tallow. Go for the smack fries loaded with cheese, grilled onions, smack sauce, and a patty.

Roy’s BBQ is a classic barbecue spot dishing out brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. They’re a food truck in the South Bay that pulls up to breweries and wineries. Their sides include pasta salad, banana pudding, and poblano mac and cheese.

Joella’s Deli is a small food truck in Napa dishing out some of the best sandwiches in the region. They’re best known for their fried chicken sandwich assembled on their sourdough-potato bun and topped with hot honey, slaw, and pickles.They also offer cheesesteak fries and buffalo chicken caesar wraps.

Jojo’s Hot Chicken was named the number four food truck in the US by Yelp. Their fried chicken has seven heat levels ranging from “country” to “reaper”. They also serve fries, tenders, and toast. They post up in a parking lot in South San Jose.

Fruitvale food stands: The SF Chronicle recently documented the sprawl of street food vendors in the Fruitvale neighborhood. Among those food options are Guatemalan food from Shucos Magi; pupusas from Pupuseria Fatima; Honduran Baleadas from El Sazon K-Tracho.

Keeku da Dhaba is an Indian barbecue food truck in Fremont. Fish, mutton, chicken, and paneer are grilled over a live flame to develop smoky flavors. Grab roti or kathi rolls to load up with meat. The menu also features fun Indian-inspired cocktails.
