The power of #mobilefood is alive and well, bringing unexpected delicious moments to a town near you.
As one of our creators said in our Mobile Food Trends Report, “Mobile food meets you halfway. You don’t have to go to the restaurant, and the restaurant doesn’t have to come to you.” Whether curbside, inside or outside, new innovations in mobile architecture, are likely to propel and change the way we conceive of — and experience — dining space. Cubert, is a prime example of that.
As part of the Off the Grid platform, Cubert is a mobile, adaptable pop-up kitchen or retail showcase that allows clients to activate temporary spaces with style and ease. With endless options for customization and personalization, Cubert is designed to empower visionary creators of all stripes — from brands and innovators, to chefs and artisans. Cubert provides the flexibility to create unique mobile experiences in the most unexpected places, setting the stage for limitless possibilities.
And sushi and sashimi in the U.S. just got a whole lot better, thanks to Japan’s largest fish distributor, Uoriki and Cubert. The company is recently brought authentic fish from Japan to select cities in the U.S.!
The idea for the sushi tour began in 2018, when Uoriki received a grant from the Japanese ministry to promote Japanese imports to non-coastal U.S. cities. With Uoriki’s super-freezing technology and innovative processes, high-quality fish with minimal environmental damage is brought to the global market.
In early 2019, Uoriki’s Fresher Than Fresh Roadshow visited cities with growing food scenes that benefited from this traditional, natural, and sustainably sourced fish. Stops on the road show included Palm Desert, Tucson, Phoenix and Las Vegas.
You may not expect to stumble upon a fresh sushi stand in the middle of the desert, but with these advancements in mobile food infrastructure, more unexpected delicious moments like this might just be coming to a town near you!
