San Jose COVID Food Relief Program is a temporary food program that delivers local delicious groceries to high-risk individuals for COVID-19 or those who have faced economic hardships due to COVID-19. Eligible participants can receive groceries delivered once per week that includes fresh produce, whole grains, and protein. The program is free and available for qualified participants until June 30th, 2021.

Who qualifies

Residents in San Jose who need access to healthy and nutritious meals and meet one of the following criteria: 

  • Any individual that meets the CDC definition of individuals at high risk for severe illness from COVID-19
  • Individuals who have suffered from employment or business interruptions due to COVID-19 related business closures and do not currently have other assistance in purchasing food or cooking meals on a consistent basis.

Disqualified

Anyone who currently receives state or federal food assistance such as CalFresh or other home-delivered meals or groceries.
