ONE-OF-A-KIND HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY!

Whether you are human or elf, young or old, reindeer or turtle doves, Emperor Norton’s Holiday Bazaar is the perfect event to gather with your community this holiday season with classic holiday decorations, cozy resting spaces, unique gifts for purchase, soul-warming food and live performances.

Emperor Norton’s Holiday Bazaar is in its inaugural year and will be taking place at two iconic places, the Salesforce Transit Center and Salesforce Plaza. The Salesforce Transit Center has become a landmark for the Bay Area, transforming what would be a simple transportation hub into an urban experience and destination for all. Salesforce Plaza is the main gateway to Salesforce Tower, the tallest office building west of Chicago and one of the tallest in the world, with the tip being seen from many miles away. Together they form a space that is perfectly suited to be the focal point for the community to gather from all over Bay Area and beyond. This year the Salesforce Transit Center and Salesforce Plaza will be transformed into a holiday extravaganza drawing inspiration from the great European holiday markets, featuring tall Christmas trees, light displays and mulled-wine.

Norton I, Emperor of these United States and Protector of Mexico, is a cherished icon for the city of San Francisco. He is celebrated throughout the city for his off-kilter charm and unusual, yet whimsical, proclamations. He created his own currency, banned the word “Frisco’, and was embraced and humored by his community.

A plaque commemorating Emperor Norton’s call for the construction of the suspension bridge between San Francisco and Oakland is currently installed in the Transit Center.
